Syndicate Bank invites applications for the post of Specialist Officers from Indian citizens who have taken the Common Written Examination for Specialist Officers conducted by IBPS in March-2012 and have a valid score card issued by IBPS

Pay Scale: JMG Scale-I; Rs 14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700/-
MMG Scale-II; Rs 19400-700/1-20100-800/10-28100/-

IBPS TWSS (Total Weighted Standard Score): Candidates who have been declared qualified in the common written examination for Specialist Officers conducted by IBPS in March-2012 should have obtained the following scores
Reasoning: General 24 and above; Reserved category 21 and above
English Language: General 24 and above; Reserved category 21 and above
General Awareness: General 24 and above; Reserved category 21 and above
Test of Professional Knowledge: General 24 and above; Reserved category 21 and above
Minimum IBPS TWS required

Law Officer Scale-II: SC/ST 113; PwD 114; OBC 115; General 122
Rajbhasha Adhikari Scale-I: SC/ST/OBC/PwD 90; General 98
The above said marks should be in combination with required minimum marks for each subject/ category as per IBPS requirement for CWE conducted for various specialist posts

Law Officer (Scale-II)

Educational Qualifications (as on 01st December, 2011): A bachelor degree in Law (LL.B)
Post Qualification Experience (as on 01st December, 2011): 3 years experience in any of the following
Law Officer in the Legal Dept of a reputed bank; or Law Officer in Central/State Govt service; or Law Officer in Public Sector undertaking with practice at Bar; or Judicial Service; or Practice at Bar
Age (as on 01st December, 2011): Minimum 21 years, maximum 40 years

Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale-I)

Educational Qualification (as on 01st December, 2011): A post graduate degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level; or a post graduate degree in Sankrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the degree level
In addition to the above educational qualification/experience the candidate is also required to have Computer Knowledge
He/she should have a certification in computer course
All educational qualifications should be from a recognised university/board
Age (as on 01st December, 2011): Minimum 20 years, maximum 35 years
The maximum age limit specified is applicable to general category candidates

Interview: Maximum marks for interview will be 100
Minimum qualifying marks in interview are 40% for general category and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD category

Selection Procedure: Depending on the number of vacancies, only those candidates who have secured the minimum qualifying marks stipulated as stated above under common written examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS (subject wise objective test) and rank sufficiently high in the order of merit shall be called for a personal interview
The candidates should have valid score card issued by IBPS
Mere pass in the common written examination shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for personal interview
Merit list of the candidates based on the marks obtained by them in common written test marks (objective test) and personal interview of 100 marks will be prepared in descending order on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained, under the respective SC/ST/OBC/General category
The final selection will be made on the basis of this merit list
Application Fee (non-refundable): Application fees/Intimation charges for General/OBC candidates Rs 100/-
Intimation charges for SC/ST/PwD candidates Rs 20/-

Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will not be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection

How to apply: Candidate should have a valid e-mail ID and it should be the same as stipulated in the online application for the above exam
The candidate should apply online through website www.syndicatebank.in
As a first step, candidate should take out print-out of challan from website www.syndicatebank.in
Against the above said challan, the candidate should make the payment of fees in any of the Syndicate branches on or before 18th September, 2012
Once the payment of fees is made, the concerned branch will give him/her a Transaction Number/Scroll Number

Syndicate Bank Ltd. is one of the oldest and major commercial banks of India. At the time of its establishment, the bank was known as Canara Industrial and Banking Syndicate Limited. The bank, along with 13 major commercial banks of India, was nationalized on 19 July 1969, by the Government of India.Sri T M A PAI, UPENDRA PAI AND VAMAN KUDVA were the founders.
